Nationals of visa-free countries can enter Korea without a visa as long as the purpose of their visit is tourism or temporary visit.
If they want to engage in profitable activities such as employment, they must apply for a Korean visa suitable for their purpose.

Temporary Suspension Countries of Visa-waiver or Visa-free Entry Program (Updated on April 1, 2022, 16 Countries)

  • Temporary suspension measures have been applied to 16 countries/regions* that have a visa-waiver or visa-free entry program with the Republic of Korea as of April 1, 2022.
  • Accordingly, persons with a passport from the relevant 16 countries/regions, which are subject to the suspension measure as listed below, are required to obtain a visa from a Korean diplomatic mission to enter the Republic of Korea.

Korea Electronic Travel Authorization (K-ETA)

K-ETA is mandatory for nationals from visa-free entry countries who enter Korea without a visa. You should apply for the K-ETA at least 72 hours prior to boarding the flight bound for the Republic of Korea. You can apply for K-ETA website (www.k-eta.go.kr) or mobile app (K-ETA).
